I've been going succulent crazy lately. A bunch of these little guys are for sale! including a few terrariums. They're not going to be listed on etsy because they're a little difficult to ship. It is possible however, so make sure you shoot me a message at my shop if you really want one of these beauties. Otherwise I'll have them posted up at some local craft fairs and such near St Louis, MO.
These pots were super fun to plant! I got the little buckets in the dollar section. I have four more of them filled with plants. I also spray painted some mason jars and added a little bakers twine on one for decoration.
Everyone says succulents can't be killed, but somehow I seemed to be doing just that. Here are some helpful TIPS if you are a succulent killer like I was.
Make sure you get cactus soil! Regular potting soil will hold onto moisture and succulents HATE that. their poor roots will rot away. Cactus soil is fast draining and stays pretty dry.
Most people already know not to water too much, but take it to the extreme. Even just a drizzle of water once a week can be too much. Give these guys a moderate squirting with a spray bottle every 2 weeks, or until their soil is bone dry. NO MOISTURE.
Warmth is more important than sunlight. These plants like as much sun as they can get when kept indoors but for example: my windowsill is directly above my AC vent and the cold air was too much for some of them to handle. I moved them up on a shelf that still catches some rays and they are doing great!
