Mason Jar Cups Summer Fun!

Summer us upon us friends! Mason jar cups are the perfect accessory for all of your fun summer refreshments! You can find yours here or make your own. They are so easy to make! Just follow these simple steps:
1. find the size of mason jar of your choice. You can use an old salsa, name, pasta sauce etc.. jar or find your own at Michaels or Target.
2. If you are using a repurposed jar as i did for the cups shows above, you'll want to peel off the label. If its hard to get off run in through the dishwater or under hot water. you may also want to spray paint the lid. I used Krylon metallic silver.

3. Next you'll want to find your straws! I ordered mine here. Once you have them you'll need to borrow or buy a drill if you don't have one. Find a drill bit that it slightly bigger than the circumference of your straw.

4. You'll need to find a rubber grommet that matches the size of the hole you will be drilling. You can find rubber grommets in the drawers labels "hard to find" in Lowe's and Home Depot. It can be a little difficult to squeeze the grommet into the hole so don't worry, you probably bought the right size. :)

5. Once your grommet is in place slip in your straw and you are ready for refreshments! These plastic straws are dishwasher safe, but if you spray painted the lid hand wash it to avoid flaking!

Enjoy your new cup or your DIY adventure! Many more projects coming every day!
