This is a favorite photo/illustration from my trip to Colorado last summer. I was at The Maroon Bells - the most photographed mountain scene in America- and I wanted to do something that wasn't the most photographed in the country. So I turned around. This beautiful scene that looks like it belongs in New Zealand or Lord Of The Rings is probably always over looked, hanging in the shadows of such a scene as the bells and i wanted to shine some well deserved light on it.
