Michael O'Neal

This is another photographer I stumbled upon and I found his photos very interesting, two of his Independent projects in particular; titled "Coupled" and "Project O"

Amy Harrity

I came across this photographer while browsing around the internet. Her work really interested me because she has a distinct style. The majority of her work has a strong mid-century vibe, yet none of her photos look tired, like they have been done over and over. The colors she uses mirror the same colors we would see in old magazines from the 60's and 70's and it is interesting to see them in vibrant form.

Theron Humphrey

Theron is a photographer who is often taking photos of his dog, and others as well. He is an advocate for rescuing shelter dogs. He promoted this with his journey through the states to tell the story of one rescue dog and its owner from each state. He has a published book of his talented and very well trained dog called "Maddie on Things"

1 Canoe 2

Beth Snyder, Carrie Shryock, and Karen Shryock are 3 amazing illustrators the run a shop of textiles and paper goods together. Their work is always whimsical and has a hint of Americana. They are from the Columbia Mo area. Its inspiring to see people have success with artist type businesses so close to home.

Ian Ruhter

Ruhter is one photographer who is keeping the Wet plate collodion process alive. He strives for perfect realistic images on massive plates, using a truck as his work area. My personal favorites of his are his works of trees. I can just imagine seeing a practically life size image of crisp trees, I would feel like I was really there in the forest.

Minor White

White's original interested were in botany and poetry but he cultivated a love for art and photography in his 20s. He said he didn't like to plan his photos and often captured landscapes including barns and bodies of water.

Sally Mann

Sally Mann is widely known for her photography of her 3 kids. There is much controversy over her decisions to use her children as models - more often nude than not. She also made a series of photos to depict the life of her husband who has M.S.

Her Children state in interviews that they are perfectly comfortable with their mom photographing them and understand that their is beauty in the human form. They spend a lot of time in the nude, but it is not often because their mother asks them to do so.
